Arctic Wolf Lays Off 250 Employees to Focus on AI

Cybersecurity vendor Arctic Wolf has laid off 250 employees. The layoffs, which affect less than 10 percent of the total workforce, is part of a strategic restructuring.

According to a spokesperson of Arctic Wolf, the move is necessary to be able to invest more in the future: AI-driven security, reports The Register.

The job cuts affect the sales, product development, and marketing categories. Among those affected are also experienced staff who have been with the company for years. With this intervention, Arctic Wolf is fully focusing on its ‘Aurora Superintelligence’ platform and an ‘Agentic SOC,’ where AI agents and human experts collaborate more closely.

Arctic Wolf is following the broader trend in the tech sector with this move, where personnel costs are being reduced to free up capital for the AI arms race.
