Edtech firm upGrad has announced the appointment of Deepesh Dhakad as its Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO), effective October 2025.
In his new role, Deepesh Dhakad will oversee upGrad’s end-to-end product, design, and technology ecosystem across its learner and enterprise verticals, with a focus on innovation, scalability, and global user experience.
A seasoned product and technology leader, Deepesh brings nearly 2 decades of experience across consumer tech brands including Amazon, Flipkart, Unacademy, and most recently Games24x7.

An alumnus of IIIT Allahabad and IIT Bombay’s Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management, Deepesh will operate out of upGrad’s Bengaluru Office, leading its global product and technology roadmap.
