The global enterprise agentic AI software market is anticipated to expand significantly, growing from $1.5 billion in 2025 to $41.8 billion by 2030, as reported in Omdia’s recent Enterprise Agentic AI Software Market Forecast.

This surge positions agentic AI as a prominent sector within enterprise technology, demonstrating noteworthy growth when compared to other segments.

Omdia’s analysis highlights that agentic AI is notably outperforming traditional generative AI at comparable market phases. While the initial five-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) for generative AI, spanning 2022 to 2027, is estimated at 90%, agentic AI is set to experience a striking CAGR of 175% from 2024 to 2029.

The swift adoption of agentic AI is primarily fuelled by enterprises’ focus on automation. Among early adopters, 39% have identified reduced costs and enhanced employee productivity as key drivers for embracing this technology.

The groundwork laid by previous investments in generative AI infrastructure facilitates a smoother market entry and accelerated advancement of agentic AI, thereby offering organisations the opportunity for quicker returns on investment.

The agentic AI market is evolving rapidly as enterprises prioritise automation capabilities,” stated Neil Dunay, Principal Forecaster at Omdia. He projected that, by 2030, agentic AI will account for 31% of the overall generative AI market, a substantial increase from just 6% in 2025.

The forecast points to automated code development as the most significant use case, expected to reach $8.2 billion by 2030, with virtual assistants, such as customer self-support agents, closely following at $7.7 billion.
