Cloud calling and voice infrastructure startup FreJun has announced the launch of Teler, a programmable voice platform that enables software applications to make and receive phone calls, stream live conversations to AI systems in real time, and manage call flows through Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), webhooks and Software Development Kits (SDKs). Designed as a Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS), Teler is purpose-built for organisations developing and deploying AI-powered voice applications across sectors such as BFSI, healthcare, retail, logistics, education and customer service.

How Teler Works
Teler abstracts the complexity of telecom infrastructure, enabling developers to build and deploy AI-powered voice applications through simple APIs. Imagine a customer calling a bank’s AI-powered customer support number. When the call connects, Teler securely streams the live conversation to the bank’s AI application in real time. The AI listens to the customer’s request, responds instantly, and can perform actions such as playing information, transferring the call to a human agent if required, or recording the conversation, all through simple APIs. Throughout the call, Teler manages the underlying carrier connectivity, call routing and media streaming, allowing the bank’s developers to focus on delivering the AI experience rather than managing complex telephony infrastructure. Once the call ends, recordings and event logs are available through APIs for analytics, compliance and workflow automation.
