Detroit Engineered Products (DEP) has unveiled DEP AIWorks, an AI-powered engineering platform designed to accelerate product development through a unified combination of machine learning and physics-based simulation.
Built on the foundation of DEP’s long-standing engineering expertise and the widely adopted MeshWorks platform, DEP AIWorks brings together predictive AI, generative capabilities, and simulation-driven intelligence within a single environment. The platform integrates techniques such as neural networks and physics-informed models with established CAE solvers to deliver accurate, engineering-relevant outcomes.
Unlike approaches that are closely tied to specific solvers or limited to isolated use cases, DEP AIWorks is designed as a physics-agnostic and tool-agnostic platform. It enables organizations to work across diverse datasets, engineering domains, and stages of product development, from early design exploration to validation and manufacturing.
DEP AIWorks offers a modular and scalable architecture that includes adaptive model training, rapid prediction, automated parameterization, optimization, generative design, and centralized data management. Engineers can build and deploy models in weeks, reduce simulation turnaround times from hours to minutes, and achieve high accuracy aligned with real-world engineering constraints.
The platform supports applications across automotive, aerospace, energy, manufacturing, telecom, and other sectors. By combining data-driven learning with physics-based validation, DEP AIWorks enables faster decision-making, reduced development cycles, and improved engineering productivity.
The launch follows the successful completion of The DEP MeshWorks X AIWorks Conclave 2026, a five-city event series conducted over the past two weeks across Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Pune, and Chennai. The conclave brought together engineering leaders, OEMs, technology partners, and industry innovators under the theme “Physics Driven Predictive & Generative AI to Transform Product Development and Manufacturing.”
“DEP AIWorks reflects the next step in how engineering organizations will adopt AI, not as a standalone tool, but as an integrated part of the product development lifecycle,” said Radha Krishnan, President & Founder, DEP. “By combining decades of simulation expertise with advances in AI, we are enabling teams to move faster while maintaining engineering rigor and reliability.”
DEP AIWorks is part of the broader DEP ecosystem and works seamlessly alongside MeshWorks, extending its capabilities into AI-driven workflows while preserving the depth of simulation and engineering processes developed over decades.
With DEP AIWorks, DEP continues to expand its role in enabling intelligent, scalable, and future-ready engineering across industries.
