Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has announced that Jay Parikh has joined the company as a member of the senior leadership team (SLT). Parikh, former global head of engineering at Facebook (now Meta) and most recently CEO of Lacework, brings a unique combination of experiences building and scaling technical teams that serve both commercial customers and consumers.
“His deep connections across the start-up and VC ecosystems, coupled with his leadership roles at Akamai and Ning, will bring valuable perspective to Microsoft,” said Nadella.
Nadella underscored the need to attract exceptional talent to increase Microsoft’s depth and capabilities, particularly in the areas of security, quality and AI innovation. Parikh’s expertise and experience will be a valuable contribution to this.
As he onboards, Parikh will immerse himself in learning about Microsoft’s priorities and culture, spending time connecting senior leaders, and meeting customers, partners and employees around the world.
