Extreme Networks Considers Acquiring CommScope’s Ruckus Networks

Extreme Networks is exploring acquiring Ruckus Networks from CommScope. The potential deal could be worth more than $1 billion (€857 million). A final decision has not yet been made.

This has been reported by Bloomberg. The acquisition would significantly expand Extreme Networks’ product portfolio. Extreme Networks primarily focuses on large organizations, such as the federal government and financial services. Ruckus Networks supplies Wi-Fi access points, network switches, and related software to sectors such as hotels, schools, and stadiums. Its products are specifically designed for environments where standard Wi-Fi often struggles.

CommScope has recently announced the closing of the transaction to sell its Connectivity and Cable Solutions (CCS) segment to Amphenol Corporation. The company had announced the signing of a definitive agreement for the transaction of approximately $10.5 billion in August 4, 2025. That deal was finalized on Monday.
