Israeli AI Startup Above Security Raises 43 Million Dollars

In a lightning-fast funding round, the eight-month-old cybersecurity startup Above Security has raised $43 million in Series A capital. It is pertinent to note that the company, led by experienced serial entrepreneurs from the elite units of the Israeli army, achieved this with a team of only ten employees.

According to CTECH, Above Security focuses on the growing threat of ‘insider threats’. Insider threats are risks that originate from within the organization, such as corporate espionage or data breaches by internal staff.

Above Security’s platform deploys thousands of autonomous AI agents that continuously analyze signals within corporate networks. “We effectively deploy thousands of AI agents that continuously look for leaks and internal vulnerabilities,” co- founder Aviv Nahum. “They conduct full investigations, collecting signals, connecting the dots, and building a complete picture.”

The system has already uncovered internal risks ranging from espionage to employees secretly working multiple jobs simultaneously.

Despite its rapid growth, the company does not plan to significantly expand its workforce. Thanks to extensive cloud automation, the company can scale without enormous overhead in human personnel. The focus for the future will veer round to the further development of AI and the expansion of the sales team in San Francisco.
